Gabriel Ndongo (@Gabriel_NGD)

 Managing Editor, Marketing and Advertising Manager

Gaby Ndongo Nkolo is a liberal Congolese nationalist who is currently studying Journalism at the University of Johannesburg. He works for The Open Journal as a Managing Editor and also part of the Marketing and Advertising team.

His interests are diverse ranging from skateboarding, boxing, the culinary arts, cycling and most importantly journalism which brought with it, interests in reading and writing. In particular Gaby enjoys activities that require speed or concentration; however, music beguiles his soul and rejuvenates his mind.

This individual’s aspiration is to always be his true self and love who he is as a person; additionally, he aims to appreciate people for who they are as individuals.

Xiletelo Mabasa (@SHEletelo)

Senior Entertainment Editor and Social Media Manager

Xiletelo Mabasa is a passionate young journalist who describes herself as a “great ball of happiness” and her greatest shortfall is her love for all things ranging from politics to fashion.

She is currently enrolled as an Honours student at the School of Journalism and Media Studies at Rhodes University. In between her studies, Xiletelo works as the Entertainment Editor and Social Media Manager for The Open Journal. After completing her studies she would like to pursue her Masters in Journalism.

A lover of all things digital (but mostly Twitter) she also hopes to venture into both broadcast and print media and is excited to see which will come first. She is currently working on making her mark in the blogosphere.

Adryan Ogle is a full-time Journalism student at the Durban University of Technology. She currently fulfills the role of Junior General Assignment Editor at The Open Journal, and News Presenter at Durban Youth Radio 105.1 FM. She has always had a passion for writing and bringing hidden truths to light. She enjoys reading 20th-century literature and creating digital content. If she wasn’t a journalist, she would definitely be a biologist or pilot.

Ntozanele Libimbi is a senior journalism student at the University of Johannesburg and a Junior Editor of The Open Journal for Lifestyle, Entertainment, Arts and Fashion. She is a woman who knows her threads; her passion for journalism is what drives and motivates her. Naturally, she’s an inquisitive and creative being who wants to explore radio, TV and styling in future. Moreover, she’s passionate about equality and ‘Authentic Storytelling’.
