Playboy filled up UJ APK SS with their play to slay lip sync battle, the battle included a cash price and like every lip sync battle two people had to be crowned King and Queen of the battle.
The battle saw 8 boys and 8 girls respectively compete for the grand prize of R1000, 00, the audience also walked away with playboy and playgirl deodorant.
Winners were scored by 3 judges, two of which were students and one was part of the playboy team, the audience’s screams also influenced the judgment, the louder the scream, the better the score.
The lit event was emceed by non-other than Charles Baloyi better known as Bobo from Muvhango.
“So far UJ has the largest turnout and I am happy that as Playboy we could come here.” voiced Baloyi.
The female winner was humbled that she won.
“I love entertaining people, it’s a passion I developed at a young age, but I didn’t think I would win.” said Queen a first year BA education student.
Students were thankful for the much-needed entertainment.
“I think it’s great that playboy came because students are at a point where they need such entertainment.” said Salome Tease, a third year BA psychology student while BA in education student Fifi feels “Events such as these unite students.”
The next stop for the play to slay team is Vaal University.
